Dr. Kaveh Nariman, a respected forensic pathologist, is involved in a minor car accident on his way home one night. His car strikes a motorcycle carrying a family, but the injuries appear relatively minor, and after offering them money to cover the damage, he drives away. The following day, a body arrives at the hospital where Nariman works, and he discovers that the victim is the same eight-year-old boy from the accident.
Although the official medical examination initially suggests food poisoning as the cause of death, Nariman becomes increasingly troubled by the possibility that his actions may have contributed to the boy’s death. At the same time, the child’s father, Mousa, struggles with his own guilt and desperation, while pursuing the truth about what happened to his son. As the two men’s lives become increasingly entangled, the distinction between guilt, responsibility, and innocence becomes increasingly difficult to maintain.
Vahid Jalilvand’s No Date, No Signature is a tense moral drama about conscience, professional responsibility, poverty, and the destructive consequences of guilt. Rather than presenting a simple confrontation between right and wrong, the film gradually reveals how different forms of pressure and personal responsibility can lead ordinary people toward devastating choices.
